How can you become a plasma donor?

 

Before your first plasma donation, you need to take part in a medical suitability check. Usually, this takes about 1 hour.

 

Before you visit us, please bring your personal documents with you:

 

• an ID card, driving licence or passport,
• address card,
• social security / health insurance card (TAJ).

 

You may be able to give plasma if:

 

• you are between 18 and 65 years old,
  (you can apply for the medical suitability check until the age of 60),
• your weight is between 50 and 130 kg,
• your health condition allows you to give plasma,
• you can communicate in English.

 

During the suitability check, our colleagues check your documents, your veins and your health condition. In addition, you fill in a health questionnaire and have a medical examination.

If everything is okay, we take a blood sample for the laboratory test. After that, you can usually come for your first plasma donation from the 8th day after the blood test, or when your laboratory results arrive.

Our team will guide you through the whole process, so you do not have to worry if it is your first time. ❤️

 

Who can you help by giving plasma?

 

Plasma is a very important part of your blood because it is used to make medicines that can help people with serious health problems.

By giving plasma, you can help people who really need plasma-based medicines. In this way, your donation can support patients and contribute to treatments that improve their everyday life.

So when you give plasma, you are not only doing something useful with your time, but you are also helping others.

 

How much can you receive for one donation?

 

At our plasma center, you can receive financial compensation for your time and effort.

For example, for your first-ever plasma donation you can get up to 30,000 HUF.

If you donate plasma regularly, you can receive up to 19,000 HUF with every donation!

 

Please always ask our colleagues about the current conditions and exact amounts, because the offer can be different.

 

Visit us and become a plasma donor!

 

If you are a foreign student, worker or resident in Hungary, you can also come to our plasma center.

You do not have to be Hungarian to visit us. If you can communicate in English, have the necessary documents and pass the medical suitability check, you may be able to give plasma too.
